Email Submission Form found on our web site, or send an email to support@imailbox.com. We will respond
as quickly as possible.
Spam
- I would like to block an email address from getting
to my mailbox. How do I do this?
If you are using an email client you can use the filters
provided to set up your own block for unwanted email addresses.
Or you can send the complete email to support@imailbox.com.
We will add it to our ban list if it is SPAM. Please understand
that when we block an email address, it is blocked from
our entire domain.
- I have received email in the past that looks like
spam to me, how do I find out if it is?
Is the email trying to sell you something you did not request?
Have you joined any oplists lately? Do you recognize the
email address of the person sending you the email? If you
answered "yes" to the first and "no" to the last two questions,
then it is a good chance the email is spam. Check out these
links for more information about spam.

- I have an email that contains [spam?] in the subject
line. What is this all about?
iMailBox uses software called SpamAssassin to help identify
email which may be spam. SpamAssassin checks the email and
gives it a "rating" or "score" to make this determination.
If a certain score is reached, then SpamAssassin inserts
[spam?] into the subject line. We recommend that you filter
email based on this subject and place it into its own folder
where you can check it daily, but at your own leisure to
determine if it is indeed spam. Once you've determined that
the email is spam just delete it.

- When somebody sends me an email, even though they
just write my address in the TO: section, my full name appears.

my full name is displayed for everyone to see? Can this
be changed?
Yes, this can be changed. Log in to the website and go to Options. Click on Personalities, and remove your name from the appropriate personality.
This is the only way you can remove your name. Removing it from your User Profile page will not remove your full name from email that you send.

Storage and Size Limits
- What is the size limit for storage of email with a personal account?
20mb of storage space. If someone attempts to send you an email and your mailbox is too full to accept
it, the email they sent to you will be bounced back at them saying that you are unable to accept the email
due to lack of storage space.
- What will happen if my mailbox exceeds the storage limit?
Any mail sent to you once your mailbox has reached it's maximum size will be bounced back to the sender,
with a message that your storage space is full and you can not receive email at this time. Checking your
email on a daily basis, deleting unwanted emails and downloading your messages using a POP3 email
client will prevent this kind of problem.
- What size limit is there on incoming and outgoing email?
The maximum file attachment size is 20 mb. Note that your ISP or the ISP of the recipient may not be able to handle files of this size. Generally you shouldn't send any more than 5mb per email.
- Can I send more than one attachment using imailbox.com?
If you are using the website to send your attachments, you can send up to 5 attachments per email. If you
are using an email clients with your imailbox.com account, you are limited by the resources of your email
client.

Email Clients
- Can I reply to email through your server? Can I forward/redirect email through your server to
someone in my address book? Can I just plain compose and send an email with Eudora through your
server?
Yes, to all of your questions. We are compatible with Eudora, Outlook (Express, 97, 98, 2000, etc),
Pegasus, The Bat, and many other POP3 compliant email clients.
- Do you support SSL POP3 downloads using email packages like Outlook?
No, we do not. We provide SSL on the web site only.
- Every time I check my mail I receive all my old mesages and my new ones. Why is this happening?
It's possible, that you have selected an option in your email client to "Save mail on the server."
At first glance, this may seem like a convienient way to assure you have a backup of your email.
Unfortunately, if your email program's installation becomes corrupt, for any reason, you will find yourself
downloading your entire mailbox each time you fix your PC or email client. For this reason, we do not
recommend that you keep a copy of your email on the server.
